YES, you can fix a leak over the phone! We can help you, even if we can’t be there in person, because leaks can be solved remotely.

What are the requirements?

Long Distance phone consultation - Phone consultations work best when a few requirements below can be met.

What We Need From You:
1. Photos, lots of photos. That usually means a smartphone with texting or email capability. We’ll need pictures inside as well as outside. Videos are also helpful.
2. Face-time or equivalent. You’ll need to be on the phone and be able to walk around the house.
3. Other Things: A working garden hose (50’), a four-foot level, and a current credit card to set up the appointment.

Costs - Our costs are $150/hr plus Travel and the Report.  Most consultations range from about $325-$450.  An initial down payment of $325 is required to start.

What can you expect from a phone consultation?

You will have the opportunity to share your experience in detail. You will be guided to give a very detailed, relevant history of your leak. You will be asked many questions so that you will be able to provide an accurate description of the issue(s) of concern. You will need to send pictures of your basements (or other leak locations) and the exterior of your home. We will also ask how you would like the problem addressed. All of this information will help develop a plan for you to resolve the leak. If necessary, you may need to ask a handyman to be on-site (such as a retired neighbor or friend). A detailed report/plan will be developed that includes your current situation and recommendations. You will be encouraged to call/email to keep us up to date and let us know how the construction is progressing, and if it’s not, we’ll help you make the necessary changes. We expect to keep in touch with you, and it’s part of why you are paying for our services!!

Is a phone consultation appropriate?

If you need help but are too far away for an on-site investigation, a phone consultation may be necessary for you. Almost any basement leak is appropriate for our services regardless of how we provide the consultation. Only certain plumbing and roof leaks need someone on-site to do a visual review.
